Call For Entries
The 2013 JCTC/CAT Photo Exhibition is a juried exhibition open to all former and current students who took a photography course in our program. If you are currently or have ever been enrolled in the Communication Arts Technology/Commercial Art Technology program at Jefferson Community & Technical College/Jefferson Community College in Louisville, Kentucky, we want you to participate.
This juried exhibition is presented by the Communication Arts Technology (CAT) program at JCTC. The 2013 JCTC/CAT Photo Exhibition "Looking Back, Looking Forward" is presented as part of the 2013 Louisville Photo Biennial.
The 2013 Photo Biennial, Louisville’s premier photographic festival, is set to take place throughout the city of Louisville October 1 – 31, 2013. Embracing local, national and international photography, workshops, symposia, public discussions and more than 40 exhibitions city-wide, the Photo Biennial will celebrate artistic excellence in this rich and diverse medium. The Photo Biennial represents a cooperative effort among local museums, galleries, universities and other public venues to give viewers the opportunity to learn about and appreciate photography, spanning its history to present, and from the local to the global.
The Biennial will highlight a variety of themes each week of the month, with the First Gallery Hop serving as the kick-off of coordinated gallery openings.
Media
Original images created via any form of photography will be accepted for consideration (i.e. shot on film, shot digitally, unaltered shots, alternative process, mixed media, digital manipulations, montages, photograms, etc.), so long as part of the image is photographically created.
Eligibility
Any current or former student who took a photography class at JCTC/JCC in the Communication Arts/Commercial Art program may apply. Photographers must be 18 years or older. All artwork submissions must be original. They can be of any subject. They may have been exhibited previously.
Entry Process
There are three ways to enter:
1. Download and complete the entry form. Prepare your CD/DVD/Flash Drive. Mail the CD, DVD or flash drive and the completed entry form to:

(CD, DVD, flash drive will not be returned)
2. Download and complete the entry form. Mail completed entry form to: CAT Photo Exhibition, Jefferson Community & Technical College, Communication Arts Technology, 109 East Broadway. Then just upload your pictures to the Events Page of the JCTC Communication Arts Facebook page. Be sure to identify each photo with your full name and title or number of your photo.
3. Download and complete the entry form. eMail the completed entry form to:

No Entry Fee
There is no entry fee. Photographers may submit up to 5 pieces.
Return of Exhibited Work
All work accepted for exhibition that needs to be returned to the artist and not picked up in person should be shipped with an approved return mail container and prepaid postage. Any items not picked up will remain on campus at JCTC in the CAT program for one year after the exhibition closes.
