That same evening (February 20, 1999), a
party for the "big kids" was held as Hard Lesson made their debut performance at
3rd Street LIVE! by opening for the headliner, Ronnie Baker Brooks.
Ronnie Brooks gave everyone their
money’s worth by playing two truly electrifying sets.
This is the debut tour for Ronnie on his own,
and it is obvious that we were witness to the beginnings of the next generation of a Blues
legend. Playing a good mix of originals and standard covers kept the 250+ Blues fans
groovin’. And in the Brooks’ tradition, Ronnie played right up to closing time!
