Yoga for Seniors, MS, Parkinsons,
Students in Recovery |
 |
Gentle Yoga classes begin with gentle
warm-ups and teach fundamental yoga postures to build
strength, endurance, and improve flexibility.
Classes end with deep relaxation. |
Medical studies on yoga show that yoga is
a safe, non-competitive exercise that improves muscle and
bone mass, relieves stress and anxiety, is deeply relaxing
and imparts a sense of well-being.
Yoga is helpful for individuals who are
elderly, overweight, out-of-condition due to lack of
exercise, recovering from serious injury or illness, or in
the final stages of terminal illness.

Restorative Yoga
Workshops
First Sunday Each month: Nov. 4, Dec.
2, Jan 6
Experience the benefits of restorative
yoga with a group of teachers who recently trained with
Judith Lasater, author of Relax and Renew.
Restorative yoga is the use of props to support the body in
positions of ease to facilitate relaxation and health. It is
about letting go and opening. Small class size (10 students)
allows maximum individual attention. Give yourself the gift
of time and place to recharge.
First Sunday of each month at Holiday Manor, 1:30-3:30 pm,
$30.
