Win.Net makes every attempt to offer the best in Internet
services to all of its customers. In its efforts to
make services available to its customers the following
guidelines for appropriate use have been established.
Violation of the guidelines mentioned below could result
in Win.Net discontinuing your Internet services.
Customer agrees to comply with the rules, regulations
and policies applicable to any network, server, computer
database, web site, newsgroup, content provider, or
other ISP that you access through Win.Net's services. Any
violation of such rules, regulations and policies may
serve as cause for Win.Net to terminate your service.
A: Regarding email:
- Customers may not send unsolicited mail messages
("junk mail" or "spam"), regardless
of number. Furthermore, the Rule applies regardless
of point of origin (e.g. mail sent from an account
with another service provider). Use of mass email
lists is prohibited.
Unsolicited email is any email sent to individuals
who did not explicitly request the email to be sent.
For each complaint Win.Net receives the customer will
be charged $10.00 (US) with a minimum charge of $200.00
(US). Furthermore, all of the customers accounts
will be immediately canceled.
- Win.Net does not limit the number of emails sent
to individuals who explicitly requested the email
to be sent; however, Win.Net requests that no more
than 1000 messages be sent per hour due to server
load.
- Attempting to disguise identity or impersonating
someone else through email is prohibited.
- Mail-bombing, sending mass amounts of e-mail to
one recipient or system with the intent to render
said system dysfunctional is prohibited.
- Non-authorized relays through any third party systems
is prohibited.
B: Regarding newsgroups:
- Posting off-topic or inappropriate subject matter
to a newsgroup or selection of newsgroups is prohibited.
- For each complaint Win.Net receives the customer
will be charged $10.00 (US) with a minimum charge
of $200.00 (US). Furthermore, all of the customers
accounts will be immediately canceled.

C: Regarding the use of IRC software (Internet Relay
Chat):
Practices considered disruptive to IRC servers, or
in violation of accepted policies on any particular
IRC server, are prohibited.
D: Regarding security and acts determined to be disruptive:
- Attempting to access any system on the internet
for purposes other than those for which the system
was designed is prohibited.
- The service is not to be used in a manner which
constitutes violation of any tariff, regulation, treaty
or law (including, without limitation, copyright,
privacy, criminal and international law).
- The service is not to be used in a manner which
is intended to abuse or to violate the privacy or
property rights of others.
- The service is not to be used to attempt to break
security, or in fact, to break security of any computer
network, or to access an account which does not belong
to Customer.
- Clients, patrons, family members, employees, or
other persons using the Customer's account are bound
to these same restrictions, and that such violation(s)
by these persons is deemed to be a material breach
by Customer.
- Syn flood attacks, that is to overburden a recipient
computer system by sending a high volume of spurious
data which effectively impedes functionality, or totally
disables recipient system(s), and any other methods
of denial of service, are strictly prohibited.
- Customer agrees to immediately notify Win.Net of
any unauthorized use of Customer's account, and/or
any breach, or attempted breach of security known
to Customer.
- Attempting to disrupt any system on the internet
is prohibited.
E: Regarding unlimited dial-up accounts:
- The use of "stay-alive" programs with
unlimited use accounts is prohibited.
- Idle connections will be terminated after 15 minutes.
- The use of unlimited dial-up accounts for connections
to LANs or proxy servers is prohibited.
F: With regard to liabilities:
- Win.Net makes no guarantee and assumes no liability
for the security of any data on any server.
- Win.Net makes no guarantee and assumes no liability
for service uptimes.
- Win.Net's liability, if any, is limited the amount
of Customer's basic fee for one month.
G: Reporting violations of this policy:
- Report violations of this policy to abuse@win.net.
H: Questions concerning this policy:

I: Changes to this Acceptable Use Policy:
Changes to the Acceptable Use Policy can be made
at any time and are considered in effect upon being
posted.
