LOUISVILLE,

Win.Net Business Internet announced
today that it had acquired Digital Crescent, Inc. (DCR.NET)
Internet Services of
Frankfort, Kentucky. Win.Net will obtain 3,500 customers
as a result of the
move.
Michael Tague, Founder and President
of Win.Net said, “To thrive in the Internet
communications market of today, it is important for Internet
companies to be
larger than the ISP’s of yesterday. The increased size, while still
retaining the
local character of the company, improves the economics of our
business. This
improves the position of both DCR and Win.Net and assures a better
future and
more options for all of its customers.” DCR.Net makes the sixth
company that
Win.Net has obtained within the last year. Win.Net purchased
Southern Indiana
based Digicove.com, Aye.Net, Otherside.com, Disknet.net, and Global
Marketing
Internet Services.

15,000 customers. This solidifies our
presence as the largest locally owned ISP in the Central Kentucky
and Southern
Indiana region.” said Michael Radeke, Operations Manager for
Win.Net.
Founder and President Michael Tague
established Win.Net Business Internet
originally as a software development company in San Francisco, CA in
1990.
Mr. Tague, a Louisville native, moved the company to Louisville, KY
in 1993 after
the company became an Internet Service Provider a year earlier.
Since then, the
company has become an active corporate citizen with partnerships
with Greater
Louisville Inc. (the Metro Chamber of Commerce) thru the Get Wired
program,
support for the City of Louisville’s eMain USA project, and as
creator of the
Louisville-NAP.
Digital Crescent.net Internet
Services was founded in 1996. DCR.net provided
services to the counties of Franklin, Anderson, Owen, Shelby, and
Jefferson and
includes the cites of Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, Owenton, Shelbyville
and
Louisville.
